About Me
About Me
While my education and training are certainly helpful, the things that I have found to be most valuable in my work with others are my own life's challenges and struggles I have worked through, including severe postpartum depression, OCD and anxiety.

Those are the things that have forced me to practice the skills I teach, and allowed me to really understand that the outcome of our lives is, in large part, influenced by the choices we make in regards to our thoughts, responses, and actions.

One of the greatest lessons I have learned is that I am able to accept all the different parts of me - the parts I like to show the world, AND the parts I spent so much time trying to keep hidden.

By learning to appreciate the influence of all aspects of myself, I have also learned how to navigate them. When the dark and mean parts of me show up, I don't feel ashamed of them. I simply recognize that they are there to communicate something to me, and I have the power to listen, and then decide how to respond.

Our stories don't define us, but they are an important part of who we are.

We can choose to make peace with those stories, and learn from our past experiences. That is what empowers us to move forward and create the life we want to have.

By developing awareness of the thoughts and stories that you have learned as a result of your past experiences, you can decide which ones benefit you and the life you are working toward, and which ones need to be challenged and changed.

By changing those old, unhelpful thoughts and stories, you can be free from the suffering they are causing.

I look forward to the opportunity to walk alongside you and support you as you heal and grow and find your joy.
